Atimi is seeking an experienced backend software developer for a fully remote position in Canada, with EST working hours.

Responsibilities include proactive collaboration within the project team, ensuring code quality and governance, and guiding the team through the development lifecycle.
The role involves planning, estimating, and contributing to architecture, coding, and development, as well as refactoring and continuous improvements of codebases.
The candidate will communicate technical decisions thoroughly to the global team and take responsibility for releases and ongoing support of live applications.
Involvement in deployment and operation of software (DevOps) is expected, along with delivering fair outcomes for customers while maintaining professionalism.

Requirements:

Required qualifications include strong Java development experience (8+ years) and experience with AWS cloud environment (4+ years).
Candidates must have strong experience with Spring (4+ years) and SQL (2+ years), along with knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Experience working directly with clients and project stakeholders to define and refine requirements is necessary.
Familiarity with using and/or configuring CI/CD pipelines and building scalable software services (e.g., serverless, microservices) is required.
Strong English skills (written and verbal) are essential.
Extended qualifications include strong Python development experience (4+ years) and experience with Pandas, SciPy, NumPy (3+ years), as well as NoSQL experience (2+ years).
The position is open to anyone located in Canada, but relocation support is not provided.
