Atimi is seeking an experienced backend software developer for a fully remote position in Canada, with EST working hours.
The role involves collaborating proactively within the project team to develop products and guide the team through the entire development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include ensuring code quality and governance, planning and contributing to architecture and development, and refactoring codebases for continuous improvement.
The developer will communicate technical decisions to the global team, take responsibility for releases, and support live applications.
The position also involves engaging in DevOps activities beyond pure programming and maintaining professionalism to deliver fair outcomes for customers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong Java development experience of 8+ years.
A minimum of 4 years of experience with AWS cloud environment is required.
Strong experience with Spring for at least 4 years is necessary.
Candidates should have 2+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Strong object-oriented design (OOD) skills and knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices are essential.
Experience working directly with clients and project stakeholders to define and refine requirements is required.
Familiarity with configuring and using CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
Candidates should have experience building scalable software services, such as serverless and microservices.
Strong written and verbal English skills are mandatory.
The position is open to anyone located in Canada, but relocation support is not provided.
