Remote Senior Backend Developer (Node.js)

Description:

• Robots & Pencils is seeking a Fullstack (Node.js/React) Software Developer with a focus on delivering new products and innovative solutions.

• Responsibilities include designing, programming, and testing software, collaborating with designers, building mobile APIs and web applications, peer reviewing code, and supporting sales and project managers.
• Desired skills include a deep understanding of Node JS, Java/Javascript, familiarity with design patterns, Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, and other technologies, proficiency in web technology stack, and disciplined testing approach.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software delivery experience.
• B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Passion for user and developer experiences.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Deep understanding of Node JS, Java/Javascript, and common design patterns.
• Proficiency in web technology stack, SlackAPI’s, and third-party integrations.
• Disciplined approach to testing, quality, and behavior-driven development.
• Understanding of CS concepts and ability to learn new technologies.
