Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

• Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their global team dedicated to helping businesses hire anyone, anywhere, easily.
• The successful candidate will collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA's in a cross-functional team environment.
• Responsibilities include participating in product planning from discovery to deployment, developing new features and API's, improving products, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, expert knowledge of Node.js and another server-side language, proficiency in JavaScript syntax, and expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and ORM libraries.
• Additionally, familiarity with AWS Services like S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS is required, with knowledge of GCP or Azure being a plus.
• The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications, thriving in a remote-first work culture, embracing independence, taking ownership of projects, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
• Proficiency in JavaScript syntax.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and ORM libraries.
• Familiarity with AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS.
