Description:
Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their global team dedicated to helping businesses hire anyone, anywhere, easily.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA's in a cross-functional team environment.
Responsibilities include participating in product planning from discovery to deployment, developing new features and API's, improving products, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, expert knowledge of Node.js and another server-side language, proficiency in JavaScript syntax, and expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and ORM libraries.
Additionally, familiarity with AWS Services like S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS is required, with knowledge of GCP or Azure being a plus.
The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications, thriving in a remote-first work culture, embracing independence, taking ownership of projects, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
