Description:
- PayPay is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to enhance the P2P and Chat systems for an optimal customer experience.
- Responsibilities include designing large-scale systems, leveraging infrastructure for high throughput applications, contributing to open source projects, and identifying performance improvements.
- The tech stack includes Java, Kotlin, Scala, Spring Boot, MySQL/AuroraDB, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and more.
- Qualifications require strong Java skills, experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and a degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in finance or payment industries, language skills in Japanese and English, and familiarity with AWS services.
Requirements:
- Excellent skills in Java or other programming languages like Scala, Python, or Go.
- Ability to learn new coding languages as required.
- Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL databases, and distributed cache.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with concurrency, distributed computing, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
- Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years of SaaS platform development experience.
- Business-level proficiency in English or Japanese.
