The Senior Backend Engineer will focus on PHP and Laravel to build and optimize large-scale distributed systems.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable systems, enhancing existing features, and driving technical excellence.
The role involves writing enterprise-quality code, developing RESTful services and APIs, and collaborating with front-end developers.
The engineer will participate in the full software development lifecycle and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of full-time development experience in PHP, with a focus on backend development.
A minimum of 2 years of experience with Laravel, building and extending enterprise-level applications, is required.
Proven expertise in building large-scale distributed systems and scalable backend services is essential.
Strong experience in developing RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture is necessary.
Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Queue, Pub/Sub) is required.
In-depth knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and caching strategies is needed.
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, SQS, Aurora, and DynamoDB is mandatory.
Proficiency in OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns is expected.
Candidates should have experience in unit testing, feature testing, and mocking to ensure code quality.
Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and deployment is required.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English are necessary.
