Remote Senior Backend Engineer - 3 (Remote)

Description:

• Tide, a leading provider of UK SME business accounts, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to work on new and existing projects in the Payments area.
• The role involves collaborating with the team to save small and medium businesses time and money by solving interesting problems and implementing new features.
• The backend technology stack includes Java 11+ for micro-services, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker containers, queues, and events.
• As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will lead agile teams, provide technical guidance, work closely with product owners and mobile engineers, and contribute to improving backend processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience building server-side applications with Java 8 or newer.
• Proficiency in Java backend frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot and experience with microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to engineer scalable and reliable solutions, deliver secure, well-tested, and well-documented software.
• Experience with relational databases, integrating third parties, and working in agile methodologies.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and exposure to continuous integration and deployment.
