Vivara is a vibrant and independent startup in Barcelona looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team.
The company aims to transform the rental management industry and enhance the housing rental experience.
The Senior Backend Engineer will be instrumental in shaping Vivara's ecosystem and facilitating connections between landlords and tenants.
Responsibilities include writing efficient, reusable, and self-documented code, with a strong emphasis on testing.
The role involves developing new features following Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and SOLID principles, ensuring delivery is a key part of daily operations.
The engineer will deploy code to the live customer environment and collaborate with engineers and product managers during brainstorming sessions.
The tech stack includes Node, Typescript, Vue, Cloud Hosting, GitHub, Docker, and Firebase.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4-7 years of experience in Backend Development with modern languages and frameworks such as NestJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Proficiency in cache systems, NoSQL (preferably Redis), SQL databases, and Git-based trunk development is required.
A strong understanding of DDD/SOLID principles, data structures, and Big-O notation for code complexity is essential.
Experience with Docker, cloud hosting, and testing best practices is necessary.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within agile, cross-functional teams, preferably in a startup environment, is important.
A product-focused mindset is required, with the ability to identify problems and craft simple solutions.
Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
