The role involves writing beautiful code in Ruby and Rails, often for new features and products/platforms.
Engineers will work with a SCRUM team that includes backend engineers, front-end engineers (Vue.js), QA/Test, and DevOps engineers.
Responsibilities include discussing the best architecture for features, diving deep into Design Patterns, and assisting other engineers with architectural decisions.
Clear documentation will be written in collaboration with Product and Tech Ops.
Good coding standards must be maintained, utilizing the best framework and language idioms.
Close collaboration with Product Managers and Engineering leaders (CTO & VPs) is essential.

Requirements:

Candidates must have deep experience as a software engineer, including deciding feature and/or platform architecture, writing code, and writing tests for their code.
A minimum of 6+ years of experience with a focus on backend development is required.
Strong experience in a top-level database system is necessary, ideally PostgreSQL, but other systems are acceptable.
Mastery of a modern programming language (e.g., Python, PHP, Dot-NET MVC, SailsJS) and a willingness to learn new technologies outside of their comfort zone is expected.
Experience working closely with other software engineers to achieve larger objectives is essential.
