Description:
- The Senior Backend Engineer will work with a team of engineers to design and develop web applications using Node, PostgreSQL, and GCP.
- Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to create new features, addressing bugs, and enhancing application performance.
- Participation in code reviews, ensuring code quality, and maintaining unit test coverage are key aspects of the role.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in JavaScript and backend development using Node.js is required.
- Experience in building REST APIs with Node - NestJS is necessary.
- Familiarity with ORMs like Prisma or Knex is essential.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server is a must.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, is expected.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines like Github Actions or CircleCI is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities are necessary.
- Prior experience in high-traffic e-commerce web applications is preferred.
