Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

• Bigeye is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help enterprises trust their data by building a data observability platform.
• The role involves designing and developing product solutions tailored to the needs of enterprise customers.
• The engineer will ensure Bigeye remains reliable and performant as it scales to handle hundreds of tables, thousands of columns, and billions of rows.
• Responsibilities include contributing to an engineering platform that promotes rapid and efficient iteration, honing engineering best practices, and collaborating with product managers and designers to implement solutions.
• The current technology stack includes Java, MySQL, Python, REST APIs, RabbitMQ, Protobuf, Datadog, Docker, and AWS.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in Java.
• Experience working within a Service Oriented Architecture is required.
• Applicants should have experience building or working with databases, ETL tools, and BI tools.
• Experience in designing, building, and supporting user-facing products is necessary.
• A proven track record of solving customer problems in a fast-paced environment is essential.
• Clear and straightforward communication skills are important for collaboration in a fast-moving and complex product development environment.
