Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

• Ordaos is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team and work on creating bespoke mini-proteins for groundbreaking therapeutics.
• The engineer will collaborate with other backend engineers, AI Scientists, DevOps Engineers, and End Users to support experiments on the AI Platform.
• Responsibilities include designing data structures, implementing system changes, collaborating with stakeholders, interfacing with databases, and working on ML-powered features.
• The role involves working on a large-scale code base, relying on cloud services, and writing maintainable Python code.
• Full-stack experience is not required, but knowledge of common data structures, algorithms, and Linux is essential.

Requirements:

• BA or Masters in computer science is required.
• Proficiency in Python programming, particularly in developing fast.api or celery-based web applications.
• Experience in building and scaling applications using cloud services.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented Python code.
• Ability to interface with SQL databases using SQLAlchemy and SQL.
• Knowledge of Linux, familiarity with Git, and experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Excitement for monitoring and improving the code base health.
