Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

• Sauce is a restaurant technology platform based in Miami, NYC, and Tel-Aviv, aiming to help local restaurants grow by offering Commission-Free Delivery & Pickup services and proprietary delivery optimization technology.
• The Senior Backend Engineer will collaborate with the CTO and Tech Leaders to design and implement the product roadmap.
• Responsibilities include developing new product features, supporting existing ones, mentoring developers, performing code reviews, and contributing to architecture and design decisions.
• The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of C#/.NET backend development experience, experience in e-commerce projects, expertise in API integrations, proficiency in MongoDB, knowledge of scalable architecture design, and experience with backend monitoring tools.
• Additional qualifications include being a team player with excellent communication skills, a passion for code quality and user experience, and proficiency in English.
• Preferred qualifications include experience as a Tech Lead/Architect/CTO at a startup, familiarity with Front-end development, CI/CD, Web Scraping tools, low code/no code development, and attention to detail in logging practices.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of hands-on C#/.NET backend development experience at a product company.
• Proven experience with projects in e-commerce or a related field.
• Startup mindset with a proactive approach and ability to work independently.
• Expertise in API integrations with complex software projects.
• High proficiency in working with non-relational databases (MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of scalable architecture design, microservices, and serverless technologies.
• Experience with backend monitoring and performance measurement tools.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Passion for great designs, code quality, user experience, and performance.
• Good writing and verbal skills in English.
• Additional experience in Tech Lead/Architect/CTO roles, Front-end development, CI/CD, Web Scraping tools, low code/no code development, and attention to detail in logging practices.
