Mediaocean is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Back-End Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain core backend systems.
The role involves building robust, scalable, and high-performance applications that support critical business operations.
Responsibilities include architecting and developing scalable backend systems, APIs, and services.
The engineer will analyze and resolve complex technical challenges to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
The position requires providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
The engineer will enforce and maintain high standards for code quality, readability, and maintainability through code reviews and best practices.
Continuous monitoring and optimization of system performance is expected, identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
Staying updated on emerging technologies and evaluating their potential impact on systems is also part of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in back-end software development, with a deep understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant frameworks and technologies such as Flask, FastApi, SQLAlchemy, Celery, and Boto3 is required, along with experience in other backend languages like Java or Go.
Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and management (both SQL and NoSQL) is essential.
Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs or GraphQL APIs is necessary.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services is required.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are needed, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers is required.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is necessary.
