Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

• ClickUp is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Inbox & Notifications team to enhance their all-in-one productivity platform.
• The role involves developing and scaling the Inbox & Notifications system, serving as a central hub for managing notifications from various sources like ClickUp, Gmail, and Slack.
• The ideal candidate will work on complex technical challenges at scale, ensuring high-quality, performant, and reliable solutions in the cloud.
• Key technologies used include Typescript and DynamoDB on Amazon Web Services.
• The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver top-notch features and systems, identify and implement system improvements, and contribute to a positive engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent major is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering performant systems, preferably using Node.js.
• Proficiency in writing high-quality code, especially in TypeScript, and demonstrating high productivity.
• Track record of building high-throughput systems and working with no-SQL databases at scale, particularly DynamoDB.
• Experience with major cloud services, especially AWS, and strong communication skills.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, delivering projects with minimal direction, and possessing a product-oriented mindset.
