Description:

We are looking for a Senior Backend software engineer to join our engineering team.
Our main office is in Paris, and we have a distributed team with members working remotely in Europe and the Americas.
You will drive the development of our critical APIs using technologies such as Node, Feathers, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
You will collaborate with other developers to ship new features and be in charge of the overall architecture of web applications.
It is essential to ensure that we have the right tests and structure in place to facilitate quick development without compromising quality.
You will share your knowledge of backend development principles and best practices with the team.

Requirements:

You must be a JavaScript expert with experience in complex backend applications using Node and modern JavaScript tooling and libraries like Feathers and NestJS.
Experience with complex microservices backend architectures, including queues and event streams, is required.
Familiarity with AWS or other cloud providers is necessary.
A quality-oriented mindset focusing on testing, code reviews, and code quality is essential.
You should have an awareness of performance considerations in software development.
A passion for writing simple, maintainable, and readable code that balances pragmatism and performance is expected.

You will be part of a product and engineering team committed to high-quality products and code.
The team operates in feature teams with 2-week sprints, minimizing unnecessary meetings.
Most of the engineering team works remotely, with a requirement for a 4-hour overlap with CET working hours.
