Description:

The Senior Backend Engineer at Raya will lead key components of Core Services, including People Recommendations Engines.
They will utilize their in-depth knowledge of databases such as Postgres SQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch to enhance the application's performance and reliability.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, from UX designers to data scientists, to ensure comprehensive and user-focused solutions.
Continuous learning to stay updated with the latest tech ecosystem, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and innovative solutions.
Prioritize top-tier user experiences through feedback loops and data-driven methodologies.
Navigate the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to integrate agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and Raya's best practices into all development phases.

Requirements:

A BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
6+ years of hands-on experience in modern software development environments, delivering scalable and maintainable systems.
Expertise in system design, architecture, and mastery in at least one software programming language like Javascript, Golang, Python, C++, etc.
Strong collaborative instincts with open communication, transparency, and cross-team interaction.
Production experience with Search applications like OpenSearch, Vector database, Elasticsearch.
