Remote Senior Backend Engineer

• Forethought, a leading Generative AI company, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team remotely.

• The role involves designing, building, and deploying features and systems for the core answer engine, utilizing technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch.
• Responsibilities include developing backend microservices, optimizing performance, and articulating a long-term vision for scaling backend systems.

Requirements:

• Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and one of the mainstream Python frameworks (FastAPI/Django/Flask).
• Experience in constructing large-scale distributed systems and crafting high-quality, well-tested code.
• Knowledge of SQL or other data analytical tools, familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in web scraping is a bonus.
