Description:
Fujitsu Launchpad, a Tokyo-based venture studio subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited, is looking for a senior backend engineer to collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop and grow digital products from scratch.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for making foundational technical decisions, defining technical roadmaps, and improving engineering practices to deliver high-quality products.
Responsibilities include developing software in an API-friendly manner, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring end-to-end product delivery, and mentoring new team members.

Requirements:
5-7+ years of experience in developing data manipulation systems with APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and at least one additional language (preferably Go or Python).
Experience in product-focused startups building user-friendly applications from scratch.
Exceptional knowledge in operative systems, Linux, RAM, CPU, algorithms, networking, and strong understanding of OOP concepts.
Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and related topics like ACID, isolation levels, race conditions, and deadlocks.
Strong use of test frameworks, CI/CD management systems like Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD, and Terraform for infrastructure management in AWS.
Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Loki, Newrelic, and PagerDuty.
Competency across the full application development life cycle, critical thinking capabilities, proactive communication skills, and ability to continuously upskill.
