Description:

As a Senior Backend Engineer for the Acquisition and App Experience Team at Postscript, you will be responsible for creating powerful acquisition tools that help ecommerce brands grow their subscriber list both on and off-site.
Your work will directly contribute to the growth of customers' subscriber lists and the collection of valuable subscriber data to optimize SMS as a revenue channel.
You will have autonomy to reach your full potential and your contributions will impact customers and Postscript's success.
Senior Backend Engineers at Postscript play a crucial role in project leadership, technical expertise, and decision-making, guiding the team in balancing technical constraints and business priorities.
The tech stack includes React, Python (Flask), Lit Web Components, TypeScript, Cloudflare, AWS, and Shopify App Extensions.
You will research, design, and deploy new technical solutions, architect and maintain REST APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor other engineers.
This position is fully remote.

Requirements:

Proven experience leading teams and projects in SaaS environments.
Strong background as a software engineer building large-scale backend applications and APIs using Python (Flask, SQLAlchemy).
Proficiency in relational databases, SQL, database modeling, and AWS services.
Ability to build modular, flexible architectures and prioritize readability and extensibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in high-growth, early-stage tech companies and coaching engineers.
