Description:

The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing and building strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and tools to support healthcare pricing products.
They will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and operating in production.
Collaborate with Product and subject matter experts to conceptualize, prototype, and build API endpoints.
Draft internal and external technical documentation.
Seek and prioritize technical and product feedback from internal customers.
Iterate quickly with a focus on value delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/knowledge, with a willingness to consider strong candidates with non-traditional educational backgrounds.
5+ years of demonstrated experience in backend development, building API endpoints, and scalable backend systems.
Proficiency in designing APIs, building endpoints, and backend systems in Python.
Experience with various programming languages such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, etc.
Ability to create libraries and tools for engineers and operations.
Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.
Experience with OLAP datastore technologies like Apache Pinot.
Understanding of software engineering development lifecycles.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to problem solve independently.
Effective remote working capabilities.

The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000-$185,000, with transparent discussions about compensation throughout the process.
