Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Calm, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that support the mobile and web applications.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop technical specifications.
• Leading the development and implementation of complex backend features and services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
• Writing high-quality, well-documented, and easily maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Implementing backend features with monitoring to detect system errors and performance issues.
• Staying updated on the latest backend technologies and trends.
• Mentoring and training software engineers.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript, GoLang, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS/GCP/GKE, Airbyte, and Relational DBs/SQL.
• Experience with REST API-based microservices design.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment as part of a collaborative team.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and solve challenging problems.
• Proficient in writing unit and integration tests in a CI/CD environment.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to provide high-quality code reviews and mentor team members.
• Capability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and deliver on commitments consistently.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
