Description:

Pindrop is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Core ISP platform team, focusing on the development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and systems.
The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software applications using Golang and Python, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
Responsibilities include operational excellence through continual improvement projects and participation in the on-call rotation.
The engineer will design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and automate the build, deployment, and configuration of cloud infrastructure.
Collaboration with development teams is essential to ensure successful deployment of applications in various environments (dev, staging, production).
The position requires deploying and managing cloud services, with proficiency in AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms, ensuring optimization for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
Security best practices must be implemented in all stages of development and deployment, maintaining compliance standards and managing SSL certificates, access control, and data encryption.
The role may require night/weekend work as part of the on-call rotation.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 8-10+ years of experience in Development, DevOps, or a related field.
Strong experience with Golang and Python is required.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Github CI is necessary.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is expected.
Familiarity with AWS or GCP cloud platforms is essential, ideally with experience in both.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform, is preferred.
Experience operating production systems at scale is required.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues are necessary.
Good communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with a detail-oriented approach to delivering high-quality work.
Candidates should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications in AWS or GCP, experience with Kubernetes orchestration, and familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices are considered nice to have.
