Description:

Pindrop is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Core Platform team, focusing on the development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and systems.
The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex software applications using Golang and Python, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
Responsibilities include operational excellence through continual improvement projects and participation in the on-call rotation.
The engineer will design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and automate the build, deployment, and configuration of cloud infrastructure.
Collaboration with development teams is essential to ensure successful deployment of applications in various environments (dev, staging, production).
The position requires deploying and managing cloud services, optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
Security best practices must be implemented throughout development and deployment stages, ensuring compliance standards are met.

Requirements:

Candidates should have 8-10+ years of experience in Development, DevOps, or a related field.
Strong experience with Golang and Python is required.
Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Github CI is necessary.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is expected.
Familiarity with AWS or GCP cloud platforms is essential, ideally with experience in both.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform, is preferred.
Candidates should have experience operating production systems at scale.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues are required.
Good communication and collaboration skills are necessary, along with a detail-oriented approach to delivering high-quality work.
Certifications in AWS or GCP, experience with Kubernetes orchestration, and familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices are considered nice to have.
