Career Renew is recruiting for a Senior Backend Engineer - Crypto for one of its clients.
This is a fully remote role, but candidates must be based in the US, Canada, or LATAM.
The role focuses on smart contract development with some backend work.
Ideal candidates should be passionate about technology and interested in topics such as intents, rollups, precompiles, predeploys, proof systems, EVM, and real-world applications of their work.
Responsibilities include writing high-quality and well-tested code, reviewing code from team members, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn requirements into products, and leading execution end to end.
The candidate will provide guidance and technical leadership to peers, drive strategic technical initiatives across engineering pods, and offer technical support to developers building on the platform.

Requirements:

Candidates must have over 6 years of experience in software engineering, with deep knowledge of Solidity and EVM, as well as backend experience in TypeScript (experience in Go or Rust is a bonus).
Strong opinions on rollups and the Ethereum roadmap are required, along with experience in intent-based systems, relayers, or multichain infrastructure.
Candidates should have a startup bias, thrive in 0→1 environments, take ownership, and be capable of making critical early technical decisions.
The ability to write high-quality, well-tested code, mentor others, and elevate the engineering culture is essential.
Candidates must be able to autonomously drive technical initiatives in a high-velocity crypto environment, ensuring scalability and reliability.
