Included Health is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Customer Experience team, focused on improving healthcare access and quality for diverse communities.
The role involves building scalable solutions to enhance customer service and communication of the company's value to health and benefits buyers.
Responsibilities include achieving team impact through high personal output, prioritizing engineering efforts based on business value, and leading project execution.
The engineer will design, implement, test, and operate systems while engaging in cross-team efforts to meet team objectives.
Mentorship of team members and participation in an on-call rotation for 24/7 service support are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate stellar engineering leadership and the ability to create maintainable code and systems.
Strong critical thinking skills are required, with the ability to evaluate tradeoffs and influence decisions effectively.
Experience with backend application development, stream processing, and ETL data warehousing is essential.
Familiarity with technologies such as Java, Apex, Ruby, Python, Scala, Javascript, GraphQL, Docker, and AWS is a bonus.
Physical requirements include regular attendance, the ability to remain seated for long periods, and some manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
