Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of production experience working with Django and Django Rest Framework (DRF), building scalable, reliable APIs and backend systems.
Strong knowledge of efficient system design principles, including database optimization, API performance, and architectural patterns for scalability and reliability is required.
A solid foundation in GNU/Linux systems, shell scripting, and understanding of network protocols, security, and troubleshooting is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including services like GKE, CloudSQL, and Cloud Run, focusing on deployment, scaling, and monitoring production systems is essential.
Proficiency in writing and maintaining tests (unit, integration) using frameworks like pytest or Django Test Client to ensure robust and maintainable code is required.
Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and migrations is necessary; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and experience implementing API authentication and authorization mechanisms (e.g., OAuth2, JWT) is required.
Effective communication and teamwork skills for working in cross-functional teams with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers are essential.
The ability to create clear, comprehensive, and consistent documentation for APIs, workflows, and system architecture is necessary.
