  • As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will develop highly scalable systems and algorithms to simplify healthcare operations.
  • You will deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable code while designing and implementing resilient backend systems.
  • The role involves collaborating with the data team to build and maintain integrations, pipelines, and APIs for seamless data access.
  • You will architect solutions using AWS services, emphasizing scalability and reliability.
  • The position requires supporting the development and optimization of data workflows with modern tools like dbt, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Staying updated on security design principles and implementing preventive measures across cloud architectures is essential.
  • Continuous learning of new technologies and fostering a collaborative team culture is expected.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science (BS, MS, or PhD) or equivalent work experience with at least 8 years in software engineering is required.
  • You must have 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, primarily using Python.
  • Proven expertise in Amazon Web Services, including designing and deploying cloud-native applications with AWS tools like Lambda and DynamoDB, is necessary.
  • Experience with frameworks such as Django and database systems like MySQL/PostgreSQL is strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) or ECS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of modern data tools such as dbt, Databricks, and Snowflake is preferred.
  • Experience with event streaming solutions like AWS Kinesis or Kafka is beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS architectures, including microservices or serverless patterns, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB is a plus.
  • A keen interest in ChatGPT, LLMs, and GenAI technologies is desirable.
  • Experience in healthcare tech, including Smart on FHIR and EHR integrations, is a plus.
  • Prior work experience in enterprise SaaS companies is beneficial.

  • The salary range for this role is between $155,000 and $190,000, considering various factors such as location and experience.
