Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Databases (Remote, EMEA)

Description:

• Grafana Cloud is an observability platform integrating metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana, allowing customers to use open-source observability software like Prometheus, Mimir, Loki, and Tempo without the burden of managing their own stack.
• The Databases team manages telemetry databases such as Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope, offered as a Cloud service supporting Grafana Cloud and on-premise solutions.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining critical systems, participating in on-call rotations, mentoring team members, and contributing to open-source projects.
• The tech stack consists of services written in Go, running on Kubernetes clusters leveraging Cloud object storage.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in at least one programming language, preferably Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to product delivery in a self-driven manner.
• Some experience with Cloud software development or systems engineering.
• Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software.
