Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Databases (Remote, EMEA)

Description:

• Grafana Cloud is an observability platform integrating metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana, allowing customers to utilize open-source observability software without the burden of managing their own stack.
• The Databases team manages telemetry databases like Mimir for metrics, Loki for logs, Tempo for traces, and Pyroscope for profiles, offered as both a Cloud service and on-premise solution.
• The databases are multi-tenant distributed systems implemented in Go, running on Kubernetes across major Cloud providers.
• Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, delivering new features, owning critical systems' reliability, and mentoring team members.
• The tech stack consists of services in Go, running on Kubernetes clusters leveraging Cloud object storage.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in at least one programming language, preferably Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping in a self-driven manner.
• Some experience with Cloud software development or systems engineering.
• Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software for easy maintenance.
