Description:

Mediaocean is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Back-End Software Engineer with a DevOps focus to design, develop, and maintain core backend systems.
The role involves building robust, scalable, and high-performance applications that support critical business operations.
Responsibilities include architecting and developing scalable backend systems, APIs, and services.
The engineer will implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and Docker.
The position requires analyzing and resolving complex technical challenges to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
The engineer will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
The role includes enforcing high standards for code quality, readability, and maintainability through code reviews and best practices.
Continuous monitoring and optimization of system performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks is expected.
Staying abreast of emerging technologies and evaluating their potential impact on systems is also part of the job.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in back-end software development with a deep understanding of software engineering principles and design patterns.
Extensive experience and deep understanding of Python and relevant frameworks (Flask, FastApi, SQLAlchemy, Celery, Boto3) is required; experience in other backend languages (Java, Go) is a plus.
Strong familiarity with AWS is necessary.
Candidates should have strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub actions is required.
Strong knowledge of database design, optimization, and management (SQL and NoSQL) is essential.
Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs or GraphQL APIs is required.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues are necessary.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers is essential.
A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
