Description:

The Senior Backend Engineer position at Conduit involves being a key member of the backend development team responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure of the Conduit Payment Network.
The role requires writing clean and efficient code in NodeJS and TypeScript, optimizing RESTful APIs, implementing business logic, and ensuring data integrity.
Responsibilities include integrating third-party platforms, designing and optimizing database schemas in Postgres RDS and MongoDB, and contributing to the evolution of the modular monolith architecture.
The position involves enforcing security protocols, collaborating with frontend engineers and stakeholders, and providing mentorship to junior engineers.

7+ years of backend development experience, preferably using NodeJS, NestJS, and TypeScript.
Proven track record in building and maintaining RESTful APIs that integrate with third-party platforms.
Strong knowledge of database design and management, including SQL and noSQL databases.
Experience with AWS, specifically in deploying and managing containerized applications.
Understanding of security best practices in a regulated fintech environment, with experience implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex systems and ensuring reliability and performance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team, with experience in cross-functional teams.
Capability to mentor and lead junior developers, providing technical guidance and promoting best practices.
