Description:

Calendly is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with deep technical know-how and architectural wisdom to join their Engineering team.
The role involves supporting features and architecture to maintain user confidence in Calendly.
Responsibilities include building new features, scaling the platform and architecture, and creating tooling and automation for the delivery process.
The engineer will work with technologies such as Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, ElasticSearch, NodeJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Daily tasks include collaborating with the team on high-impact features, contributing to platform scaling, meeting with Product and Design teams, attending agile ceremonies, improving engineering practices, reviewing implementation plans, and mentoring team members.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with ElasticSearch, Typescript, and Node is required.
Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) or microservices is necessary.
A strong drive to craft clean, reliable, and maintainable code is essential.
Candidates must be available for on-call rotation to respond to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours.
