Webflow is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Enterprise Workflows team, which focuses on building and maintaining collaboration features for larger teams.
The role is remote-first, based in Mexico, and is a full-time, permanent position.
The cash compensation for this role ranges from MXN 836,400 to MXN 1,100,000, depending on geographic location and experience.
Responsibilities include architecting, designing, and implementing scalable multi-tenant backend services and APIs.
The engineer will work with technologies such as Node.js, Javascript/Typescript, MongoDB, GraphQL, Apollo, and AWS services.
The position involves leading projects, producing high-quality code, collaborating with product managers and designers, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying web applications with a proven track record of shipping code.
Familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript is required, along with the ability to write scalable services and APIs using Express.js, GraphQL, Apollo, and MongoDB.
Applicants should be able to debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
Proven experience in building complex web systems and familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Playwright, or Cypress is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working in an agile environment that encourages safe-to-fail practices.
