BnBerry is a travel tech company that helps hotels and resorts reach more guests and improve their guest experience.
The company provides a solution that allows hotel businesses to easily list and manage their properties on Airbnb and VRBO, increasing occupancy rates and enhancing guest experiences.
The new hire will join the BnBerry for Landlords team, focusing on building a new solution for Individual Hosts and Landlords to automate their vacation rental business and drive more bookings effortlessly.
In this role, the engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Laravel, PHP, MySQL, and related technologies.
The engineer will partner with cross-functional teams to create scalable and efficient backend solutions.
The position involves participating in the full software development lifecycle, from planning through deployment.
The engineer will enhance backend systems for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Collaboration with frontend engineers will be necessary to ensure smooth integration between systems.
The engineer will identify and resolve technical debt and performance issues.
Participation in code reviews, testing, and documentation is expected.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of backend development experience, specializing in PHP and Laravel.
A solid knowledge of MySQL databases and query optimization is required.
Hands-on experience with RESTful API is necessary.
Proficiency with Git version control is essential.
Candidates should possess sharp problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who thrives in remote environments.
Outstanding communication skills are required.
Experience with agile methodologies is preferred.
Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
