Description:

  • The Senior Software Engineer will maintain and enhance existing systems, design and implement new solutions, and ensure the reliability and scalability of infrastructure.
  • Responsibilities include maintaining the codebase in Java, writing unit and integration tests, designing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automating server provisioning, reviewing code, debugging production issues, implementing security measures, collaborating with stakeholders, and managing monitoring systems.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience is required.
  • A BS degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Java is essential, with additional experience in Golang being a plus.
  • Experience managing AWS and/or GCP infrastructure is required.
  • Proficiency with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Postgres) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB) is necessary.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio is required.
  • Previous experience working with microservices infrastructure is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions is necessary.
  • A passion for implementing best practices and advocating for smart automation is required.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or New Relic is necessary.
  • Proven ability to work on distributed systems and large-scale architectures is required.
  • Understanding of event-driven design and implementation is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects independently are required.
