Description:
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer on the Gameday team at GameChanger, you will be responsible for enhancing and iterating on features within the backend codebase using modern tools.
You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA Analysts, and Engineers to develop engaging user-facing features.
Leading projects within the Gameday team, you will work on areas such as live video streaming, scorekeeping, fan experiences, and team management.
Your role will involve developing and maintaining scalable, robust, and efficient backend services.
You will drive changes to the API and SDK to improve server/client communication and collaborate on architectural decisions to ensure efficiency as the backend codebase expands.
Additionally, you will focus on enhancing system performance, reliability, scalability, and developing new features while ensuring system security and data privacy compliance.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate requirements into technical solutions, participate in code reviews, and create technical documentation.
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in a software development role.
4+ years of experience with Node.js or another backend technology.
1+ years of experience leading and implementing complex designs.
Experience scaling a codebase to a large number of users and engineers.
Proficiency in TypeScript is preferred.
Strong background in writing scalable, performant server-side code.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring engineers.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.
Enjoyment in fostering a collaborative atmosphere to solve complex problems.
