Description:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer familiar with GoLang to join our Grafana Backend Services squad.
The mission of the Grafana Backend Services squad is to deliver the best Grafana service to both On-Prem and Cloud customers in a unified, end-to-end manner.
Responsibilities include taking charge of multiple components such as the Grafana Backend API and the CLI tool, as well as managing the orchestration infrastructure required for delivering Grafana at scale.
Daily tasks will involve working with the team to deliver new functionality, contributing to and reviewing design documents, and embracing an open-source culture.
The role includes mentoring and supporting other team members, participating in design discussions, and collaborating with other squads in the Grafana Division.
You will also be part of the team’s on-call rotations and take ownership of the services you are running.

Requirements:

Candidates must have solid experience with Go.
A good understanding of storage solutions, particularly relational databases like MySQL, SQLite, and Postgres, is required.
Candidates should care deeply about developer and user experience and the quality of the products they work on.
Experience in delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping a product to customers in a self-driven manner is necessary.
Candidates must have experience writing clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others.
Experience in mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative but asynchronous environment is required.
Candidates should enjoy working on complex solutions and be able to take on complex challenges, breaking them down to achieve tight learning loops.

The base compensation range for this role in Canada is $146,409 CAD - $183,011 CAD, with actual compensation varying based on level, experience, and skillset.
