Description:

This is a remote opportunity for a Senior Backend Engineer position at Grafana IRM, specifically for candidates in EMEA time zones.
The team is responsible for IRM solutions that facilitate incident detection, response, and learning with minimal effort, including OnCall Cloud, Incident Cloud, and an IRM mobile application.
The role involves coding new features, enhancing operational experiences, and iteratively improving systems based on production insights.
Responsibilities include contributing to and reviewing design documents, shaping the team’s roadmap, collaborating with various teams, and participating in on-call rotations.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a remote-first environment, enjoy teamwork, and have solid experience in building full stack applications, preferably with Golang or Python and React.
Candidates should be able to transform ideas into working code, care about user experience, and value code maintainability and testing.
Experience with cloud software development or systems engineering is required, along with the ability to understand the implications of technical decisions.
Clear communication in written and spoken English is essential.

Requirements:

Candidates must have solid experience as a Software Engineer building full stack applications.
Proficiency in either Golang or Python is required, and familiarity with React is preferred.
Experience in developing software that runs in the Cloud or systems engineering is necessary.
Candidates should be able to design solutions, get feedback, and write prototypes independently.
A strong emphasis on user experience and product quality is expected.
Candidates should value code maintainability, readability, and testing.
Familiarity with backend technologies, containerization, CI/CD, and monitoring tools is advantageous.
Clear communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are required.

The base compensation range for this role in Spain is €80,571- €100,713, with actual compensation varying based on experience and skillset.
