Description:

The Grafana Search & Storage squad is building Grafana’s next generation storage layer as part of the App Platform movement.
The Unified Storage component will enable developers to interact with data using Kubernetes-inspired design patterns like Operators.
The team is responsible for two key end-user features: Search, which helps users find resources, and Folders, which allows teams to organize content hierarchically.
Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, delivering new features, driving projects from ideation to operations, and contributing to open-source culture.
The role involves designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability.
Participation in on-call rotations and mentoring team members is expected.
The position requires good communication skills and an independent attitude, as the engineering organization is largely remote.

Requirements:

Candidates must have solid experience with the Go programming language.
Experience with Kubernetes API Patterns, such as controllers and operators, is required.
A proven track record of delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping in a self-driven manner is necessary.
Experience in developing software for the Cloud or systems engineering is essential.
Candidates should be skilled in writing clean, robust, and maintainable software.

The base compensation range for this role in the UK is GBP 84,000 - GBP 101,000, with actual compensation varying based on experience and skillset.
