Remote Senior Backend Engineer, Inbox & Notifications

Description:

• ClickUp is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Inbox & Notifications team to enhance their all-in-one productivity platform.
• The role involves developing and scaling the Inbox & Notifications system, which serves as a centralized hub for managing notifications from various sources like ClickUp, Gmail, and Slack.
• The ideal candidate will work on complex technical challenges at scale, ensuring high-quality, performant, and reliable solutions in the cloud.
• Key technologies used include Typescript and DynamoDB within Amazon Web Services infrastructure.
• Responsibilities include building features, owning end-to-end development, collaborating with stakeholders, improving existing systems, and fostering a positive engineering culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering performant systems, preferably using Node.js.
• Proficiency in writing high-quality code, especially in TypeScript, and demonstrating high productivity.
• Track record of building high-throughput systems and working with no-SQL databases at scale, particularly DynamoDB.
• Experience with major cloud services, with a preference for AWS.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in ambiguous situations, and a product-oriented mindset.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with large-scale SaaS platforms, micro-services, event-driven architecture, and technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL.
