The Senior Backend Engineer will lead the design and architecture of backend services for real-time model inference and bidding decisions on the OpenRTB platform.
Responsibilities include collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers, overseeing A/B testing frameworks, ensuring high-performance backend services, and optimizing performance and cost-efficiency.
The role is based in France but can be performed fully remotely.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, focusing on scalable, high-performance systems.
Extensive experience in distributed systems, microservices, and API design using Java, Scala, Python, or Go is required.
Expertise in real-time data processing and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, Kinesis) is essential.
Hands-on experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog) for metrics collection and system monitoring is necessary.
A deep understanding of A/B testing frameworks and experience integrating them into backend systems is required.
Proven ability to design, build, and manage complex cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) is essential, including experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform) is required.
Candidates should have a focus on building reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems, with experience in performance tuning and cost optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges are necessary.
