Description:

The Senior Backend Engineer will lead the development and architecture of backend systems that power Corelight's products and services.
This role involves overseeing a team of backend engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.
The engineer will work in an Agile development team to design and deliver service features from design to production deployment and monitoring.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and operating scalable, elastic, and secure microservices based on serverless architectures.
The engineer will also design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Machine Learning and Data Analytics pipelines.
Building REST APIs and GraphQL services to interface with large datasets and analytics using AWS technologies is a key responsibility.
The role requires evangelizing and driving the adoption of software development best practices in code health, quality, test stability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience is required.
Experience in building REST APIs or GraphQL to support data-heavy visual user interfaces is necessary.
Proficiency in using AWS Services such as Lambda, AppSync, and API Gateway or equivalent is required.
Candidates should have experience with programming languages such as Python, Java/Scala, and/or Go.
Knowledge of both Relational and NoSQL databases is essential.
Experience in adopting and using Agile development methodologies is required.
Excellent communication skills are necessary, as the role involves collaboration with multiple teams and influencing product directions.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience, is required.
