Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Loki (Remote, EMEA)

Description:

• Grafana Cloud is an observability platform integrating metrics, logs, and traces with Grafana, allowing customers to utilize open-source observability software without the burden of managing their own stack.
• The Databases team manages telemetry databases like Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope, offered as Cloud services and on-premise solutions.
• Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, delivering new features, designing, building, and maintaining critical systems, participating in on-call rotations, mentoring team members, and contributing to open-source projects.
• The tech stack consists of services written in Go, running on Kubernetes clusters leveraging Cloud object storage.
• The role involves remote work, regular video calls, an independent attitude, and strong communication skills.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in at least one programming language, preferably Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to product delivery in a self-driven manner.
• Some experience with Cloud software development or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in writing clean, robust, and performant software.
