Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Loki (Remote, EMEA)

Description:

• The Senior Backend Software Engineer will be part of the Databases team responsible for telemetry databases like Mimir for metrics, Loki for logs, Tempo for traces, and Pyroscope for profiles.
• The role involves working on multi-tenant distributed systems implemented in Go and running on Kubernetes across major Cloud service providers.
• Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, delivering new features, designing critical systems, participating in on-call rotations, mentoring team members, and contributing to open-source projects.
• The position requires a remote-first approach, good communication skills, and regular video call meetings.
• The tech stack consists of services written in Go, operating on multiple Kubernetes clusters leveraging Cloud object storage.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with at least one programming language, preferably Go, but familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar is acceptable.
• Some experience in delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping in a self-driven manner.
• Experience in developing software for the Cloud or systems engineering.
• Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software easily maintainable by others.
