Remote Senior Backend Engineer - Mimir (Remote, Sweden)

Description:

• The Senior Backend Engineer position at Mimir in Grafana Cloud involves working with the Databases team to own and operate telemetry databases like Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Pyroscope.
• The role requires optimizing the efficiency and resilience of processing, storing, and querying metrics at large volumes.
• Responsibilities include influencing the roadmap, delivering new features, designing, building, operating, and maintaining critical systems.
• Engineers will participate in on-call rotations, mentor team members, and contribute to open-source projects.
• The tech stack consists of services written in Go, running on Kubernetes clusters leveraging Cloud object storage.

Requirements:

• Motivated self-starter with a bias towards action and customer focus.
• Ability to tackle complex challenges, collaborate, and communicate effectively in a fully remote setup.
• Solid experience in at least one programming language, preferably Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping in a self-driven manner.
• Familiarity with Cloud software development or systems engineering.
• Proficiency in writing clean, robust, and performant software.
