Description:

Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js and AWS to join their global team.
The role involves collaborating in a cross-functional team, working closely with Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA professionals to create seamless experiences.
You will participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, providing valuable input throughout all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
The engineer will develop and enhance features, APIs, and continuously improve industry-leading products while ensuring quality engineering and a customer-centric experience.

Requirements:

Candidates must have strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript best practices, along with experience in at least one other server-side language.
A deep understanding of SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL, is required, including skills in query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling.
Applicants should possess a solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns, with experience in building and extending classes.
Experience in designing systems for scalability and optimizing systems for high transaction volumes is essential.
Candidates must be skilled in building APIs, including input validation, JWT tokens, and ensuring security and scalability through queue-based systems.
A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer is required.
