Oowlish is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Node.js, SQL, and data engineering practices to enhance their team.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services using Node.js.
Responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL pipelines and complex data workflows.
The engineer will integrate external data sources such as Salesforce, Jira, Notion, and Google Workspace into the systems.
The position requires working with tools like Airbyte and other ETL/integration platforms.
The engineer will implement secure and scalable enterprise permission models, such as ACL and RBAC.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Data, Product, Engineering) to define requirements and deliver solutions is essential.
Contributions to backend architecture improvements, API design, and performance optimization are expected.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in software development, focusing on backend systems.
Proficiency in Node.js and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is required.
Hands-on experience with data integration, data engineering, and ETL tools is necessary.
A strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture is essential.
Experience integrating with enterprise systems like Salesforce, Jira, Notion, and Google APIs is required.
Familiarity with ACL, RBAC, or other enterprise-level access control systems is a must.
Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with Airbyte or similar data integration platforms, knowledge of React.js or experience in a full-stack environment, and understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
