Description:

  • The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for expanding and optimizing a digital advertisement SaaS suite of applications using technologies like NodeJS with TypeScript, federated GraphQL, Docker, AWS, and Apache Kafka.
  • Designing microservices and other back-end components, integrating data storage, monitoring, and protection solutions.
  • Developing all server-side logic, maintaining central databases and message busses, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
  • Conducting code reviews, providing guidance to team members, contributing to workload estimations, project planning, and architecture discussions.
  • Joining a cross-functional team under a Product Owner to work on a multi-tenant SaaS product and ad-serving network.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience with user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
  • High familiarity with scalable application design principles.
  • Creating database schemas supporting business processes.
  • Good knowledge of event-driven architecture, message busses, and/or pub/sub-systems.
  • Expertise in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Extensive experience in mentoring teammates respectfully.
