Description:
Deel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Node.js and Go to join their global team dedicated to facilitating businesses in hiring globally.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QAβs to contribute to product planning, development, and deployment stages.
Responsibilities include developing new features, APIβs, improving products, and ensuring a top-notch customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Node.js, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, ORM libraries like Sequelize, and AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS.
With at least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer, the candidate should be able to provide guidance on best practices and be a thought leader in the field.
The role requires designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications, thriving in a remote-first work culture, embracing independence, and taking ownership of projects.
Effective communication, collaboration with diverse teams, problem-solving skills, and a business-focused approach to software development are essential.
Extra brownie points for candidates with production experience in Go-lang, working with SaaS products on major cloud vendors, distributed team experience, and knowledge of FinTech.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language, preferably Go.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript syntax.
Strong understanding of SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and ORM libraries like Sequelize.
Familiarity with AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS.
Experience with serverless app architecture on AWS.
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Ability to advise on best practices and be a thought leader in the field.
